The Modern Art Trio was founded in 1967 in Rome. The self titled album which bears the initials "Progressive jazz" on the cover to recall the innovative thrust based on the mix of serial, twelve-tones and free-jazz music will be the only album recorded by the trio that disbanded in 1972.
