Up to RM400,000 has been allocated by the Youth and Sports Ministry to financially support national 400m women’s record holder Shereen Samson Vallabouy's athletics career, says Hannah Yeoh.
The Youth and Sports Minister said this on Tuesday (May 23), adding that the package also signified a commitment to women's participation in sports, which the ministry prioritised.
Concurrently, Yeoh said the ministry was having discussions with men’s national 400m record holder Umar Osman to identify any form of aid that could be offered to prepare him for the Asian Games.
