Typhoon Betty (international name: Mawar) maintained its strength, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Tuesday, May 30.

In its latest forecast track, PAGASA said typhoon Betty was spotted 315 km east of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 150 kph near the center and a gustiness of up to 185 kph. It is moving west-northwestward at 10 kph.
