A Birmingham mental health hospital could face closure if it doesn't make improvements following failures in ensuring quality of care. Montague Court in Edgbaston has been placed on special measures and will be inspected again in six months.
The owners of a cornershop in Solihull have been prosecuted after a boxcutter knife was sold to a teenager. Solihull Council oversaw the prosecution of Balvinder Singh Chhokar and Rajinder Kaur who run Margeret's Store in Fordbridge. They were each fined £293.
The Red Arrows will perform their first display of the year as part of the Midlands Air Festival this weekend. Ragley Hall in Alcester will play host to the Midlands Air Festival. The three-day festival is packed full of air displays, including hot air balloon events and a spectacular firework finale.
