Tropical depression Chedeng is unlikely to bring heavy rainfall as it will remain far from the country’s landmass in the coming days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday afternoon, June 6.
In the PAGASA’s bulletin issued at 5 p.m., Chedeng was last spotted 1,150 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon and packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts up to 70 kph.
It remains almost stationary over the Philippine Sea.
