Bushfire inquiry hears more of ‘whiz break’ that led to blaze

The coronial inquiry into a destructive bushfire near Canberra in 2020 has heard that the pilot of the army helicopter that started the blaze tried to seek approval from a senior officer for an unplanned landing. The authorising officer who missed the phone call told the hearing it's possible he wouldn't have approved the toilet stop.
