Tata Consultancy Service (TCS), India’s largest IT firm, is also one of the largest employers of women in India in the private sector. Recently, reports claimed that women employees are quitting TCS due to the return-to-office policy. According to a report published by moneycontrol.com, Milind Lakkad (Chief Human Resources Officer, TCS) blamed the Covid-19 pandemic for the ‘unusual’ trend. Recently, the company ended its work-from-home (WFH) policy. Lakkad suggested that the return-to-office policy could have been a reason for the higher number of resignations by women.
