Team Bahrain-Victorious have withdrawn from the Tour de Suisse following the dying of rider Gino Mader on Friday.
Friday’s stage six was cancelled, with the peloton as an alternative using the ultimate 20 kilometres of the route in a neutralised group experience in reminiscence of Mader.
“Following the tragic loss of Gino Mader, Team Bahrain Victorious has taken the decision to withdraw from Tour de Suisse,” the workforce stated on social media.
Tour de Suisse riders have payed tribute to the Swiss cyclist Gino Mäder after the cyclist died from injuries sustained in a high-speed crash on the descent of the Albula Pass
