Bus fares across the West Midlands are set to rise - and National Express is reviewing whether it will continue to participate in the government's £2 price cap scheme. It said that rising costs mean that price rises are needed to protect the bus network.

West Midlands Police are investigating after shots were fired outside a busy bar on John Bright Street near New Street Station in the early hours of Saturday morning. A 21-year-old man was shot in the arm, however his injury was not life-threatening.

Birmingham Airport is set to see three new flight services from July onwards. The services will run between the UK and the Gulf. This will include the direct flights to Saudi Arabia, as well as to Doha and Dubai. The flights will be run by SAUDIA and Qatar Airways.
