Thousands of people voted to pick the official name for the Brummie Bull before it goes to its permanent home at Birmingham New Street station this summer. Mayor Andy Street tweeted that the bull will be called Ozzy, after Brummie rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.
Ten men have been jailed for nearly 100 years for supplying in excess of 100kg of Class A drugs across the region. Operating from West Bromwich, the group supplied cocaine and heroin at the height of the pandemic.
A woman who worked at a care home for children in Birmingham has been jailed after abusing her position to sexually exploit a child. Nicole Thompson-Brown, 26, sexually abused a 16-year-old girl who resided in a care home last year. She was sentenced to two years in prison.
