The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) sacked three leaders from the party. The expulsion came after the leaders reportedly attended Ajit Pawar's oath-taking ceremony. Ajit Pawar was sworn in as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra on Sunday. The three leaders include Shivaji Rao Garje, the regional general secretary of the party, Vijay Deshmukh, the Akola City District President of the party, and Narendra Rane, the working president of the party's Mumbai division.
