RNLI first responder launches rescue mission as public walks dangerously on sandbank; narrow escape from incoming tide

At 14:37 Saturday 8th July a first responder sighted a member of the public walking on a sandbank off Grange Over Sands heading towards the direction of Heysham.

With a fast incoming tide both the Hovercraft and the Inshore Lifeboat were launched.
