The Federal Government has agreed to return 55 plots of land back to Sabah and Sarawak government in line with the Malaysia Agreement 1963, says Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
The Deputy Prime Minister said after chairing the MA63 technical committee meeting on Tuesday (July 18) that 52 plots are to be returned to the Sarawak state government while three to Sabah, and explained that the policy is that if the land is not developed five years after it was acquired, the state can ask for the land to be returned.
