UK Actors Union to Protest , in Solidarity With SAG-AFTRA.
Equity, an actors' union in the United Kingdom,
will protest in London and Manchester on July 21 in
support of American actors on strike, Deadline reports.

According to Equity, "there will be a colorful
display of banners, flags and signs for people
to hold, and we’ll hear from speakers from the
entertainment industry and trade union movement.".
While the union plans to "stand in
unwavering solidarity" with SAG-AFTRA.
"SAG-AFTRA members currently working under an Equity U.K. collective bargaining agreement should continue to report to work" as a result of U.K. anti-trade union laws.
Shows such as 'House of the Dragon' and 'Industry' fall under this category and are continuing amid the strike, Deadline reports.
Other U.K.-based shows, such as 'Amatuer,' have halted for the time being.
Actors in the U.S. first went on strike on
July 14, protesting wages and AI's
proposed involvement in their industry.
The Writers Guild of America
went on strike on May 2.
The last time both unions went on strike at the
same time was in 1960, according to The Verge
