5 tequila facts to entice your palate.
1. Tequila is made from the blue agave plant,
but only the agave heart is used to make the drink.
The plants take 8 to 12 years to harvest.
2. There are only five regions
in Mexico that are allowed
to produce tequila.
3. Some claim a specific type of tequila,
Blanco tequila, won't give you a hangover. It is left
in its purest form with no added sugar or corn syrup.
4. Tequila is finished
with 60 percent water.
5. Mexico's agave landscape
is recognized as an
