The Mizoram's capital Aizawl witnessed a powerful display of solidarity as locals took to the streets to protest against the situation in Manipur. In a show of support for the Zo ethnic community in strife-torn Manipur, Mizos rallied on Tuesday with a call to end violence. It was organized by NGO Coordination Committee, comprising five prominent organisations. In the meantime, on Tuesday, the Manipur government reviewed the issue of the ban on the internet and ordered the suspension of broadband services to be ‘lifted conditionally in a liberalised manner’. The lift on the ban on broadband services came as reports of violence continue to emerge from the northeastern state. However, mobile internet continues to remain suspended.
