Fisker's Sustainable Lightest Truck, New Fisker ALASKA PICKUP EV 2024-2025

Fisker Introduces Four New EVs: Ronin, Pear, Alaska and Force E
An electric hatchback, a grand tourer and a pickup truck will join the Ocean SUV.

During its live event, the Ronin flagship electric supercar with a range of 900km took center stage. It will be a "technology carrier" to showcase innovations. Additionally, Fisker unveiled the Pear compact electric hatchback for the masses, the Alaska pickup truck, and an adventure package called the Force E for the Ocean.

Fisker will enter the rapidly growing field of electric pickups with Alaska. The electric truck market is currently occupied by models such as the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, Hummer EV and Chevrolet Silverado. Fisker claims that Alaska will be the world's most sustainable and lightest truck.

The CEO said it was built on the FT31 platform, a modified and extended Ocean platform. It will settle somewhere between a compact and mid-size pickup truck.

At first glance, the electric truck appears to have the silhouette of a Hyundai Santa Cruz – the sloping C-pillar slopes towards the bed, and its design is an evolution of the Ocean SUV. Alaska has a 4.5-foot bed, which stretches up to 7.5 feet — thanks in part to another "Houdini trunk", a middle door that rolls all the way down in this app.

With a rolling center door and opening tailgate, the length of the bed increases to 9.6 feet. Customers will also be able to fold down the rear seats to free up additional space. Fisker's focus on maximizing space with interesting tricks like the Houdini trunk is quite remarkable.

Its expected driving range is between 230 and 340 miles, and the Ocean is likely to use its battery and power units. It has a maximum range of 440 miles on a WLTP cycle, thanks to its 113 kilowatt-hour battery capacity.

The CEO demonstrated how the truck's center console houses the world's largest cup holder, which looks like it can hold a one-gallon bottle. Another interesting feature, he said, is a "cowboy hat holder" above the rear seats and the usual features like the California mode we saw earlier on the Ocean.

The Fisker Alaska price will be $45,400 before incentives and will likely qualify for the federal tax credit that could lower the starting price to $37,900. The production version is expected to be released in December 2024.
