The Finance Minister says the Government acknowledges that while an increase in the minimum wage will "obviously help people" who earn that wage, it will also have an effect on businesses and increase the State's wage bill.

During a virtual media conference on Wednesday, the Finance Minister said the Government is "actively looking" looking at the matter, as he also again stated that the Government has no plan to introduce an inheritance tax, as touted by the Opposition.
