In the first ODI at Napier, Virat Kohli led Indian cricket team defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets. New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss at Mclean Park and decided to bat first. India were given a dismal target of 158 and Shikhar Dhawan made sure that India reached the target by scoring 75*.
