Falcon wing doors of the Model X are simple to open and close by pushing a button, using a key fob, a smartphone app, or touching the corresponding icon on the touchscreen. The falcon wing doors have a number of sensors that can identify people and objects, and if an object is found, the door will halt moving. The doors may alter their outward and upward movement in response to things identified in an effort to avoid coming into touch with the object. For instance, if anything is detected above Model X, the door may move farther outward but lower, and if something (or someone) is detected next to the door, the door may move considerably farther outward.
