Dramatic footage shows cops chasing drug smugglers in high-speed jet boats packed with drugs in two separate incidents that resulted in the seizure of more than four tonnes of cocaine in Mexico.The videos were released by the Mexican Navy and showed the boats powering through the water with the criminals on board and packed with fuel and drugs.In a statement on August 28, they said that the two separate incidents involved the seizure of three vessels with approximately 4,400 kilogrammes of cocaine, approximately 5,300 litres of fuel and the arrest of 11 crooks fully operational on the coast of the Mexican Pacific.They confirmed that there had been cooperation with the air and Marine units of the Mexican Navy and the first arrest had involved a small vessel with six crew members on board - two of whom were Mexican.In a second action, naval personnel located two vessels with five crew members of Mexican nationality on board again in the Mexican Pacific.All of those arrested, as well as the items seized, have now been over to the Mexican Attorney General's Office.They added that in total this month 11,400 kilogrammes of cocaine have been seized, as well as the arrest of 23 alleged suspected drug smugglers, with 18 of them Mexican.In total this year they have seized 37,849 kilogrammes of cocaine in operations at sea.
