Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has delighted supporters after delivering a rousing megaphone speech on international duty with Denmark.
The £72million frontman, who joined the club from Atalanta this summer, was brought on during his country's 1-0 win over Finland in Euro 2024 qualifying.
The victory saw them take a giant stride closer to sealing their spot at the tournament next year and moved them top of Group H, and Hojlund took the opportunity to thank the travelling fans with an impassioned cry.
After the final whistle, the 20-year-old moved towards the away section holding a loudhailer and declaring that Denmark would indeed reach the Euros.
Unsurprisingly, United fans were quick to hail their ace's leadership qualities.
'Rasmus Hojlund is a true leader!' one account posted on X. 'Can tell he is passionate about football and not just another random player.
'After Bruno, this has to be the best signing that has secured us for the future!
'He hasn't scored or played [the] full 90 yet but he already has the potential to go down as one of our club legends!'
The praise continued, with one account even tipping Hojlund as a potential captain.
'Future captain, leader and king,' they wrote, alongside a photo of him scoring.
Another added: 'He's going to fire us to league glory', while a fourth said, 'His passion is fire. We love it!'
A fifth user, meanwhile, joked: 'Reminds me of the Vikings series.'
Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, recently linked with a shock move to United, netted a dramatic 86th-minute winner to settle the showdown in Helsinki.
Holland made his eagerly-awaited debut for United during their 3-1 defeat by Arsenal before the international break and impressed with an eye-catching cameo.
He was prevented from making his maiden appearance shortly after signing due to a back problem that United had carefully monitored during his medical checks.
Bizarrely, despite the clamor over Hojlund's arrival, United's official club shop was unable to sell shirts bearing his name on the back for more than a month because it did not have any Danish 'øs' in stock, as revealed by Mail Sport.
Frustrated supporters branded United 'incompetent' after being told that the Megastore at Old Trafford was waiting on the arrival of the missing letter.
Customers were informed as late as Friday that they were holding out for the 'unique O' and promised an update on Wednesday. The shirts are now on sale, however.
Hojlund is in line to start for United when they return to action against Brighton.
