The Welsh government has made promises to continuously review the impact of the upcoming 20miles per hour speed limit change which will affect thousands of roads across Wales. A Tory MS said called the plans a ‘war on motorists’ while Plaid and Labour defended the plans, provided the impact review took place.
A plan to mine 95 thousand tonnes of coal from an open cast mine near Ammanford has been rejected by the local council due to environmental reasons and local opposition. The plans would have created 11 jobs for the area, while around 40 protesters were seen outside Carmarthen council shouting ‘no more coal’.
A campaign has been launched against the closure of a Cardiff bus route which serves St Fagan’s museum and villages on the outskirts of the city. Cardiff council said they were forced to rethink some routes for budget constraints, while a resident in St Fagan’s village called the decision barmy.
