UN warns disease outbreak in flooded east Libya may trigger another crisis

Officials warn that a disease outbreak in flooded northeast Libya, caused by contaminated water due to dam collapses, could lead to a second devastating crisis. The United Nations and nine other agencies are working to prevent disease outbreaks in the region, with concerns over water contamination and sanitation. The country, already facing significant challenges, is receiving 28 tons of medical supplies from the World Health Organization to address this urgent situation.
