The Saudi side were boosted by the debut of Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined them on loan from Juventus. Ronaldo showed his class and quality, as he assisted the first goal for Hamdallah in the 27th minute. He also created several chances for his teammates, and was a constant threat to the Persepolis defense. The second goal came in the 82nd minute, when Yahya scored a stunning volley from outside the box. Persepolis tried to fight back, but could not find a way past Al Nassr’s solid defense.
