Jai Hind friends, today’s topic is very sensitive. Within 15 days, another Agniveer operator, Akshay Lakshman got martyred. There are 2 main points that need to be considered. First, is the Agnipath Scheme, under which the Agniveer are recruited, is the scheme fine? Valid? Enabled? Is it okay for the safety and security of the country? The Modi government is messing around with the security of the country and is continuing in doing so. Second, Are the Agniveers, after the 6 months training, transformed themselves into battle-hardened soldiers? The 1st batch of the Agnipath Scheme came in June after their training. And as you saw in the last 15 days, 2 Agniveers got martyred. This is a half-baked scheme. There is no fully trained soldier. To become a soldier, we need at least 1.5 years of rigorous training to become a battle-hardened soldier. As and when we are witnessing the deaths of Agniveers, there are many questions popping up. The army on its own has mentioned in the policy letter about the employment restrictions on where the Agniveers will not be deployed; they won’t be deployed in any sensitive area, they won’t be deployed alone, they won’t be inducted in any harsh conditions etc.
