Steelworkers in Port Talbot could ballot to strike if they are not listened to in relation to thousands of employees losing their hobs, according to a union. Up to 3000 staff would be made redundant at the site, despite a 1.2 billion pound investment from the UK government to produce steel in a greener way.

Two women have were taken to hospital with serious injuries after an alleged hit and run incident in Cardiff in the early hours of Thursday morning. A man has since been taken into police custody after being found in Beddau. He has been questioned over drink and drug driving as well as traffic offences.

Ongoing strikes of council workers in Cardiff have been causing recycling chaos for many residents, with green bags piling up in the streets around a number of areas in the city. Pictures show the extent of the issue, which is set to continue until at least 26th November when strikes are set to come to and end.
