THE FAMOUS FIVE was a UK television series adapted from Enid Blyton's collection of children's books. THE FAMOUS FIVE was produced by Southern television in a co-production with a German TV company over two series broadcast between 1978 - 1979 consisting of 26 episodes. THE FAMOUS FIVE featured the characters from the original novels George, Julian, Dick, Anne & Timmy the Dog. Series 1 was produced by Don Leaver & Series 2 by Sidney Hayers filmed around the New Forest in Exbury, Hampshire, England.
