Some RM9.65 bil is spent on treating non-communicable diseases (NCD) in Malaysia, says Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
The Health Minister said during Ministers' Question Time in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (Nov 23) that RM4.38bil was spent on treating diabetes alone, making up 45.38% of the ministry’s total expenditure on treating NCDs.
Dr Zaliha added that a comprehensive action plan was among the measures towards tackling NCDs in Malaysia.
