Causes of colon cancer
1- Obesity
Being overweight or obese, particularly in the abdominal area, is associated with an increased risk of colon cancer
2- Smoking
Smoking is linked to an increased risk of colon cancer
3- Alcohol consumption
Excessive alcohol consumption is linked to an increased risk of colon cancer
4- Certain medications
Some studies suggest that long-term use of some medications, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin and ibuprofen, may have a protective effect against colorectal cancer
5- chronic constipation or diarrhea
Long-term digestive problems such as chronic constipation or diarrhea can lead to an increased risk
6-Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
Chronic inflammatory diseases of the colon such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease are associated with an increased risk of colon cancer
