British teenager Alex Batty, who went missing at the age of 11 during a holiday in Spain in 2017, has returned to the United Kingdom after being found in France, according to police on Saturday. Alex, now 17, disappeared while on vacation with his mother and grandfather. A delivery driver discovered him in a mountainous area of southern France. Authorities launched a case when the family failed to return from Marbella after two weeks. The current whereabouts of Alex's mother, who lacks parental guardianship, remain unknown. Greater Manchester police confirmed his safe return to the UK but did not comment on details disclosed by French authorities regarding his activities during the disappearance. Matt Boyle, assistant chief of GMP, expressed joy at Alex's return and stated they would proceed based on Alex's comfort and statements.
