More than 20,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip during the war between Israel and Hamas, according to the Hama-run Gaza Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, Gadi Haggai, a 73-year-old Israeli-American hostage taken captive by Hamas, has died. Haggai is the first American hostage to have died in the conflict.
The Israel Defense Forces also released video footage from a camera attached to an army canine sent into Hamas tunnels in Gaza. Israel has made an effort to destroy as many tunnels in Gaza as it can.
