BYD, the world's top electric vehicle seller, saw a 61.9% increase, selling 3.02 million vehicles in 2023, including 1.6 million battery EVs and 1.4 million plug-in hybrids. The Chinese automaker also revealed plans to build a plant in Hungary last year.
