iPhone Survives 16,000-Foot Fall from Alaska Airlines Flight, Found Intact

An iPhone fell over 16,000 feet from an Alaska Airlines plane that experienced a mid-air incident on January 5th where part of the plane blew off. The iPhone was found intact on the side of a road in Portland, Oregon. It was still in airplane mode with half its battery remaining and was still open to an Alaska Airlines baggage claim email. The NTSB confirmed it was the second phone found on the flight. Phones and other items were sucked out of the plane during decompression.
