The Navy has confirmed that some of its members have been summoned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for questioning over the 'procurement cartel' involving construction work at one of its base camps, involving more than RM9mil.
Navy commander Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Ayob said that the MACC had also taken some documents to facilitate its investigation, which is understood to involve a project carried out last year.
On Thursday (Jan 18), three men believed to be the masterminds of a "procurement cartel" were arrested by the Johor MACC at its office.
