மாலத்தீவில் சமீபத்தில் ஆட்சி மாற்றம் ஏற்பட்ட நிலையில், அதன் புதிய அதிபர் சீனாவுடன் நெருக்கத்தை கடைப்பிடித்து வருகிறார். இந்நிலையில், அந்நாட்டின் எதிர்க்கட்சி தலைவர்கள் புதிய அதிபரின் வெளியுறவுத்துறை கொள்கையை கண்டித்து அதிருப்தி தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். இந்தியாதான், மாலத்தீவின் வரலாற்று ரீதியான நண்பன் என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறியுள்ளனர்.

In the recent regime change in the Maldives, its new president is maintaining close ties with China. In this case, the opposition leaders of the country have condemned the foreign policy of the new president and expressed their displeasure. They also said that India is a historical friend of Maldives.
