Porsche has greatly improved every aspect of the updated Taycan for 2025, and prices start at $101,395.
It's also no surprise that the Taycan Turbo S is now Porsche's most powerful production vehicle to date. The 2025 model year will see an increase in total system output, reaching an impressive 939 hp (700 kW/952 PS) when launch control is used.
Porsche says it has worked hard to improve the engines in each Taycan model and that the rear axle power unit will produce 107 hp (80 kW/109 PS) more power than the current version. Additionally, vehicles equipped with the Sport Chrono package feature a 'push-to-go' button that provides drivers with temporary power of up to 94 hp (70 kW/95 PS) for a maximum of 10 seconds at a time.
But Porsche didn't just focus on straight-line speed. Every updated Taycan will be equipped with adaptive air suspension, and for AWD models, the Porsche Active Ride suspension can be ordered as an option.
The system reveals the magic trick of making the car more comfortable and faster. Porsche Active Ride works to keep the Taycan at the same level at all times. This means it absorbs bumps to keep passengers comfortable, while also reducing body roll, distributing the vehicle's weight evenly across all four wheels and improving grip in fast corners.
All models will also feature new wheels designed to improve aerodynamics and tires designed to reduce rolling resistance. Taycan will be able to recover energy at speeds of up to 400 kW when slowing down in bends; This means a speed of over 30 percent compared to the current model.
Faster charging doesn't just happen during braking. Porsche says one of its focuses for the Taycan is charging. Its 800-volt system will be able to recover up to 320 kW of energy, 50 times more than before. It says it's also significantly expanded the fast charging window, meaning it can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in as little as 18 minutes.
This will be very useful because the Taycan's new Performance Battery Plus now has a capacity of 105 kWh instead of 93 kWh in the current model. Porsche hasn't yet announced official EPA ranges, but in its own real-world testing it found that the most efficient 2025 Taycan can go up to 365 miles (587 km) per charge; That's about 120 miles (191 km) further than the 2025 Taycan. official EPA rating of the current model.
