There has been an increase in the number of people being killed or seriously injured on our roads here in Merseyside. Data from a Freedom of Information request has shown that in 2023 there were 550 cases, 91 more than the previous year. That's an increase in almost 20%. The levels of deaths and serious injuries are also the highest in five years.
