The $17.6 billion Israel aid bill was shot down by
a vote of 250-180 on Feb. 6, Politico reports. .
While close to four dozen Democrats approved the measure, over a dozen Republicans voted against it. .
The White House has called the move a "cynical political maneuver" as Republicans have rejected a border security-foreign aid deal brought by the Senate. .
It's just a political stunt by the
Republicans and the speaker.
