Pembrokeshire County Council’s 12.5% tax rise is believed to be the biggest in the country, with another rise potentially next year. There was talk of a 21 percent increase which would have been the biggest jump in Welsh history, but that was decided against. The council say there is an over 30 million pound funding gap.

Newport City Council has hit back at a local brewer who said they are closing their Newport location due to a ‘slowly imploding’ city centre.
