MMDA, mayors defy SC on single ticketing vs traffic violators

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Acting Chairman Romando Artes joins Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon, Pateros Mayor Ike Ponce and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora in a press conference on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, on the Supreme Court decision on single ticketing. Zamora, who is also Metro Manila Council chairman, said Metro Manila mayors will have to deputize local enforcers to allow them to continue ticketing traffic violators. Artes said the Supreme Court decision was not yet immediate and executory.
