Cafe Joyeux is an "inclusive" chain of restaurants staffed by workers with autism and Down syndrome that has made a mark in France and other European countries and is now targeting the Big Apple. "We've recruited 14 team members here, people with disabilities, with autistic disorders, with cognitive disorders, with Down's syndrome, and these people have the time to progress, have the time to show that they're capable in the heart of a city with a very demanding clientele," says Yann Bucaille-Lanrezac, who cofounded the Café Joyeux chain in France.
