New FCC rules require the largest internet providers to display "nutrition label" style disclosures for broadband plans starting April 10. The labels must show pricing details, typical speeds, data limits, additional fees, and other key information. They are modeled after food nutrition labels to inform consumers about broadband plan details simply. Typical download/upload speeds, latency, and included data are displayed, along with overage fees. Additional charges, taxes, equipment fees, and termination penalties must be listed.
