Andi Eigenmann accepts the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP)’s Honorary Distinction for her late mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, during its 'Parangal ng Sining (Honor of the Arts)' on April 19, 2024. In her speech, Eigenmann thanked the agency for honoring her mother's legacy and shared how Jose had influenced her own decision to enter the entertainment industry. The FDCP paid homage to Jose, who passed away last month. She was well-known for being the first Southeast Asian actress to win the highly coveted Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for her notable performance in Brillante Mendoza’s film, “Ma’ Rosa.”
