The Health Minister says while the People's Partnership administration "may have had plans" for a neonatal unit at the Hospital in Couva, " that doesn't mean that there was one".

Speaking with the media on Thursday, Tim Gopeesingh reiterated his recent statement that what this present PNM administration found at the Couva hospital was not a NICU.

As for the neonatal unit at the Port of Spain General Hospital, the Health Minister said in response to a question from our Political Editor Juhel Browne that relocating that unit, even temporarily, "is just not possible."
