Prolific filmmaker and longtime contributor to Radio Free Asia Shin Daewe was honored with a 2024 Gracie Award for her work on the RFA Burmese video report Ayeyarwady Riverbank Erosion.
Daewe is known for her coverage of the human toll of climate change in Myanmar. She was sentenced to life in prison by a military tribunal in Myanmar earlier this year, yet her work continues to make an impact.
