What makes self-defence important? It gives you the ability to always stay alert and prepared for any incoming attack.
Now, when somebody lunges at you from the front, you’ve got the time to prepare and defend yourself.
Imagine if someone sneaks up and grabs hold of your neck from behind – tries to choke you.
This could result in panic because if you give them the time, they could easily get you unconscious – not a good sight.
Instead of getting scared and moving your head to get out of the hold, try to grab their hair using your right hand and pull it forward.
This would loosen the grip on your neck and give you the opportunity to strike the attacker’s neck with your fist or attack their groin for damage. Eventually, you can now call for help or flee from the situation while the attacker is down.
