In a dramatic maritime rescue operation, nine crew members, including eight Indians and one Sri Lankan, were successfully rescued by the Indian warship INS Teg after their vessel, the 'Prestige Falcon,' capsized off the coast of Oman. The incident, which occurred on July 15th, left 16 crew members stranded, prompting swift action from Indian and Omani maritime authorities. The 'Prestige Falcon,' sailing under the Comoros flag, capsized approximately 25 nautical miles southeast of Ras Madrakah in Oman's Wilayat of Duqm. Of the 16 crew members onboard, 13 were Indian nationals and three were Sri Lankan citizens. While nine survivors have been safely rescued, efforts are ongoing to locate and rescue the remaining crew.
