After nearly freezing his quills off in the Diamond Dust Zone, Sonic wants nothing more than to get warmed back up but gets much more than he bargained for when he finds himself deep in the Volcano Valley Zone. Luckily for Sonic, he can still find the Flame Shields from his previous adventures on Angel Island which will protect him from the fire hazards in this area...
