PANEER AND PEAS PULAO
INGREDIENTS
WHOLE SPICES
A small piece of cinnamon stick broken into pieces
4 cloves
4 cardamom cloves
2 bay leaves
OTHER INGREDIENTS
200 grams of paneer cut into small cubes
2 to 3 tablespoons of cooking oil or ghee (clarified butter)
1 medium onion thinly sliced
¾ to 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of garam masala
1 tablespoon of dried fenugreek leaves(Kasoori methi) gently crushed with your finger tips
1 and a ½ cup of basmati rice, washed well, soaked for ½ an hour and drained( measured in a 250 ml cup)
½ cup of green peas( measured in a 250 ml cup)
5 garlic cloves
3 to 4 green chilies
A small piece of ginger( say 3.5 centimeters)
3 and a ½ to 4 cups of water measured in a 250 ml cup
Salt to taste
